The Lyme Disease Association announces its 19th annual Lyme & Tick-Borne Diseases scientific conference will be held October 27 & 28, 2018 in Providence, RI at the landmark Marriott Providence Downtown hotel. This year the conference will cover a wide range of topics with presentations from leading researchers and clinicians from throughout the United States. Topics include new diagnostics, identifying new therapeutics for persister Borrelia, alpha gal meat allergy, implications of the newly discovered East Asian tick, neuropathology, pathogenesis, small fiber neuropathy, biomarkers of persistent symptoms, immunologic findings, metabolomics, Powassan virus, Borrelia Miyamatoi, Anaplasma, neuropsychiatry of Toxoplasmosis, Bartonella,and Borrelia, prevention, genetic modification of ticks and of mice, and other topics. Our goal is to translate the latest scientific advances into a clinically meaningful presentation.
